The newest album from Killswitch Engage was produced by Brendan O'Brien (AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine) and co-produced by guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz.

Vocalist Howard Jones offered a little insight into Killswitch Engage, saying, "It was time for us to step outside of our comfort zone and try something a little different with this record.  It definitely still sounds like us, but we needed to be refreshed and take things a little further." The singer also comments on the album being the band's second self-titled effort of its career, saying, "When we all couldn't agree on an album title, someone suggested we just keep it self-titled and we all pretty much agreed...gives it the feeling of a fresh new beginning."

Amazing as always. Bought the CD/DVD combo and the DVD was a cool behind the scenes look at the band to show they are just as awesome as the music they produce!

Good album, good hooks, good tone on the guitars... except it doesn't quite mesh nicely. The songs don't quite take off for me. I love the harmonies and musicianship but to me they haven't changed or raised the bar at all to surpass a 'good' rating. They seemed to have found a formula and stuck to it. Like I say good album just no suprises or improvements.

YES! this is what I've been waiting for, a new killswitch album! The best album they've ever done in my opinion! All the tracks suddenly get attatched to you and never leave you, it's kinda crazy! My fav songs, Never Again, starting Over, Reckoning, Light In A Darkened World, Lost, This Is My Goodbye, In A Dead World. All of them are fucking ace, but those are my fav for me!

Keep up the damn good work guys, YOU ARE FUCKING AMAZING!

Zzzzzzzzzzz! Sorry to those that love this album! Man talk about same old...same old! Sadly it all just sounds like EVERY other Killswitch album...at the very least the guitar work isn't bad but do yourselves a favour and get a drummer that does more than the occasional breakdown...but still manages to sound like he's on Prozac during the verse of the song..This band leaves me FLACCID!!
